Burglaries and Thefts of vehicles

Dear Resident

Overnight we have had a number of offences committed in Sabden so I'm now requesting information from anyone with CCTV who may have captured anything of note or anyone who may have seen or heard anything of note to let me know by reply.

LC-20260117-0138 - A residential burglary in which entry has been gained by smashing a rear patio door, car keys located and used to steal a Black Audi Q3 and a Silver Mercedes S350. We have a suspicious vehicle a dark coloured saloon captured on Victoria Grove between 21:10 and 22:49 and one of the stolen vehicles has been recovered in Burnley just after 1am.

LC-20260117-0208 - A theft of a Black Ford Transit panel van from a driveway on Lane Ends has been taken between 22:50 - 23:50

LC-20260117-0250 - A residential burglary on Timbrills Avenue. Entry has been gained to the property overnight by smashing a rear window.

Thankfully we're not dealing with incidents like this on a regular basis but please just take a few moments to think about the security your own home and vehicles may have in place and consider if you would perhaps benefit from CCTV, Alarms, Trackers, Crook locks, Faraday pouches etc. 

I'm aware incidents like this in a small and safe community like Sabden can be very unnerving so I'm doing my regular drop in at St Marys Hall on Wed 21st Jan 17:30 - 18:30 if anyone wants to come and have a chat in person.
